Success-Today Is A Nine
FinD Inspiration, Encouragement, Guidance AnyWAY YOU CaN
Success, today is a nine, maybe tomorrow too. I am supposed to play by the rules and expand my influences. If I stay focused and do the best I can than my resourceful efforts may pay high dividends. That’s what my horoscope says anyway. I cut out and saved all the good ones, pinning them up everywhere, while simply ignoring the rest.
I’m currently taking a new path toward success. I’ve considered the consequences of expanding my influences. I considered my bold plan of action before actually launching this project. A professional power play. Allowing my readers an insight into the crazy dreams of H. Stenna Suzanne and Soup & Sex.
I have organized for greater efficiency today and tomorrow, getting more involved, more on track, and better prepared for success, when it comes. Success often shows up in the form of an opportunity. Often elusive, often overlooked, often disguised as adversity, but existing everywhere, fighting for a chance before we notice her.
Seizing the Opportunity
Soup & Sex is the result of seizing the opportunity when recognized. I’ve had to expose myself to many new, but exciting things. Building a website, a platform, marketing, and improving my social media skills all of which I had no idea how to do. I thought, yeah just write a book and your golden-not. Web searches said easy-not.
The best advice came form a CD I purchased called-How to Publish Your Book, by Jane Friedman. She didn’t sugar coat it. She told it like it was-hard. “Successfully publishing a book requires a professional approach to the marketplace, with the ability to identify how and where your project fits into the ever-evolving publishing landscape.
“She went on to say that about 80% of people say they have a book inside them. Jane has an active blog @ http://janefriedman.com which has more than 100,000 visits each month. Go Jane. Someday soon that might be me too.
That might have been reason enough for me to quit right there. Heck, that’s a lot of competition. But she ended her introduction with, “Challenges authors face-many of which can be overcome with sound knowledge about the industry.” I liked the way she said that and I believed I could do it. I wanted to use my knowledge along with my willingness to help others and pray it would become valuable to them.
This blog will take you along that path. My soup recipes will lead you to better health, my activities to happiness, and together very soon my book will be available to the public.
